Braid it.

Hello Everyone!

Summer is here! For the first time in my life I am not enjoying Bangalore summer. It's been quite sometime I did a blog post. I am just held up with a lot of work and the weather isn't tempting me to go and pose for photos. Nevertheless, I am back with a new blog post - collaboration with Kiosha.com.

I am wearing...

I believe you don't need million bucks to look good. Just a million dollar smile and attitude to carry off anything you wear! I was looking for something with red and navy combination stripe dress for quite sometime now. I found one at kiosha.com. It costs Rs.750, clean cut, light fabric, short (perfect for summer, the way Bangalore temperature is soaring) and you can restyle it so many ways. Fits all my requirements and I just couldn't resist adding more stripes into my wardrobe.

Few things that attracts me to any online shopping website is affordability, unique accessories and trendy clothes. Kiosha.com offers a variety of shopping options. From designer labels Cupidity and Kunst to in house labels, the bag/clutch collection is amazing. My favorites are cat print bag, lime sling bag. Apart from the bag collections, they offer an array of jewelery and colorful summer dresses. I am eyeing few more tops from the store - vivid cat prints, aztec and tribal prints are so my cup of tea. Check out kiosha.com for more every day casual clothes and accessories.

I styled the stripe dress with a red belt and clutch. Stacked up bracelets in one hand (the elephant cuff and gold beaded bracelet are my new favorites)and added few rings in the other hand.Owl pendant, cat eye sunglasses and strap heels completed the look. Gladiators, strap, tie up heels are back in fashion (these were a rage when I was in college). The best part about my look? It took me just 15 mins to style and get ready.Let's face it! Most of us manage to muster just 15-20 mins to get ready every day. Same with me, I spend most time travelling. To make up for the lost time, I sit and braid my hair while travelling. For me summer = braids. I was trying few hair styles and this one is the easiest and looks good too.

How to get the hairstyle? I made a front poof. To make front poof, start with hair that’s not totally clean -- one or two days post-washing is perfect for this do. A bit of dirtiness actually helps you manipulate a bit of height into your strands. If your hair is freshly washed and you still want to pony it up, simply spray a bit of dry shampoo on your roots. Take the strands of hair, get the desired poof height and just roll a bit before you pin it up with hairpins. I braided thin strands of hair and let it merge into the hair. No rubber bands for the braids, let to merge into the hair. Viola! you have simple 9To6 hairstyle.
