Prints to Work.

Hi Everyone!

I know what you all must be thinking, yet another blogpost about prints. (ha ha... that's what I was thinking while writing this blogpost). This blog shoot was done about 6 months ago and finally decided to share it. If I had to define my signature style, then I would definitely be the "girl in polka dots". I always ensure my outfits are an extension of personality. I think it is important for everyone to define what his/her style stands for. For me, it is important that I don't get lost in the crowd. I never liked being one among the crowds wearing the cliched outfits (no offence to anyone, it is just my opinion). My style has always been into prints and experimenting styles which suit my body type.

I have been pushing my creativity to incorporate prints to my work wardrobe. As a career girl, it is important that I blend into the work culture without losing out on my sense of style. I also love the cliched suits and dress but it gets boring after a point in time. After trying out few options, I thought I should compile a list of do's and don'ts while wearing prints to office.

1. Firstly, get over the notion you cannot mix prints to work. It is a delicate dance to mix prints to office but done rightly it is definitely a head turner.
2. Mixing different prints with black and white is the easiest bet. Polka & stripes, polka & leopard and stripes % stripes are the few combinations I have tried until today.
3. You can try out similar prints in different color to give dimension to outfit.
4. Keep accessories to the minimum.
5. Avoiding adding pop of colors and the outfit might look like a costume.
6. Always finish the look with classic pump only.
7. Complete the look with a structured bag to add an elegant and corporate touch to outfit.

If you have any other suggestion that will add value, do drop me a note. I will incorporate into the blogpost.

Recently, I came across this application called "Ask Me" in my friend's android phone. I tried finding it for my iPhone, but alas it is just for android users. If you read about the app, the Ask me team calls is "bapp of all apps" and I totally agree with it! From finding local restaurants, business, best electronic deals, cars, sales, real estate, basically you name it, they have everything in this app to keep you updated on what's happening in your neighborhood. It not only shows online stores, but also local stores where you can purchase items. The best part of the app for me is "free ad" segment, where I can browse items put on sale by other people. In simple terms it is like Quikr, Foodpanda (Read here), Carwale, Myntra and Zomato rolled into one app. If you are internet junkie like me and fortunate enough to own an android phone, then download this app to make your life simpler.

Download Ask me on Google store here.
