The Future of Shopping is here.. Van Heusen #Style Studio

I have always been a fan of Van Heusen for the comfortable work wear outfits. Recently, Van Heusen, the power brand from Madura Fashion & Lifestyle portfolio redefined the Indian fashion landscape by unveiling its first flagship experience store called VAN HEUSEN STYLE STUDIO. The entire shopping is mundane, but with the dawn of Van Heusen Style Studio, the company is redefining the rules of apparel retailing in the country. The ultra-modern store is located at Indiranagar, offers an immersive shopping experience enabled by cutting-edge technology, for its discerning consumers.

To develop this store, the brand has worked with partners like FITCH – Singapore and Experiential Design Lab – Delhi. The brand recently reinvented its business model to launch MYFIT, an innovative solution for customer compromises around fit, size and style – a first-of-its-kind offline-online integrated solution. This Ultramodern-futuristic store is definitely going to be another milestone in the brands long innovation history.

What does it mean in layman terms? You can go to the store and get yourself fitted via a virtual mirror. Browse through the collection via the virtual mirror and compare the outfits. All this without actually going into the fitting room and changing clothes. But to the conventional lovers who like to understand the fit of clothes, Van Huesen has style simulator room. The room has settings which will recreate occasions based on customer needs. Van Huesen also has a Style Pro section to help customers. The best part for me was The Fit Station. You can customize fit, material and design of formal wears based on your taste. Van Huesen has vast collection of material and design catalogs for customers to choose.

If you want to experience the future of Shopping and add some versatile pieces to your wardrobe, then I strongly suggest that you to check out the new Van Huesen Style Studio. Also, to get an idea, do check out their website : http://www.trendin.com/

Work Smart - Clark #Myshoedairies

I always have had a long lasting love affair with stilettos. When Clarks India sent me these lovely pair to style for Clarks Shoe diaries contest, I was pleasantly surprised. Thank you Clarks for these! They are so comfortable for office wear, I literally hop skip and jump to work now!

I love experimenting with my work wear. In India, we do not have the luxury to wear short suit. So I decided to pair three fourth formal pant and formal blazer. Right set of formals is chic enough for office and still playful enough for a night out. I am totally crushing on shades of yellow, beige and tan. Best way to get over color fetish is by pairing them together. I wanted to add an ultra feminine take to menswear which is feasible to wear to work. What do you think of the look? Would love to hear your comments.

Currently coveting...

The best part about blogging is I get to see my style evolve with time. Of late, my style has been casual chic. I have been investing only on basics and statement items which I can wear to work as well as to causal weekend escapes. So, I decided to compile list of items that I am currently coveting.

1. Crisp white shirt with gold buttons - You must be wondering why the gold button detailing? Well the gold buttons adds little edge required. It looks stylish and classy to wear to office without looking overdone. During weekends, I can style it with a maxi dress, skirt or jeans. I picked up mine at ZARA.

2. Ripped Jeans - These are one pair which will always come back in fashion. I always invest in a darker pair as it suits my body type. If you are curvy, then I suggest a darker pair. I picked up mine at ZARA.

3. Printed Scarves - I cannot live without printed scarves. Since my wardrobe is more of basics, I need some tame drama in my outfits. The best way to get that is printed scarf. My favorite is polka dots and leopard print scarfs. You will be surprised how classy leopard print scarf looks with work attire. I picked up mine during my travels to Coorg.

4. Nude Lipstick and Kohl - Nude lipstick helps me get through the day without having to worry about having lipstick on my teeth, the color disorientation. It gives me the natural shine I want. I usually couple my nude lipstick with thick kohl. It instantly adds charm to my face. My current favorite Nude Lipstick is Creme D' Nude from MAC and my favorite kohl is Maybelline Eye Studio Lasting Drama Gel Eyeliner.

5. Floral Dress - Comfortable and stylish to wear to office coupled with lightweight blazer. I can restyle it for the weekend with mirrored sunglasses and messy side braid. I got my floral dress from Target (Prabal Gurung for Target)

6. Silver Flats - I always thought silver flats would look gaudy for office wear, I was pleasantly surprised it went well with monotone outfits. There are limitless ways to style silver flats for the weekend. It is one investment I have made which has reaped maximum ROI! I brought mine during ZARA Sale for Rs.1000

7. Digital Watches - I always felt watches define one's personality. Of late I am inclining to digital watches. I feel they are best watches for causal Fridays to work. They look sleek and add edge to Friday causual outfit. Fastrack digital watches are my favorites.

8. Gold rings - Initial days I bought a lot of junk jewellery. Now, I invest in gold rings which I can use for my daily needs and still look stylish on any outfit.

9. Tailored White blazer - White blazer can make any outfit look smart. Moreover, a tailored white blazer adds the sophistication required for any outfit. I picked up mine at ZARA India
10. Red Medium height heels - Should I say more? This is the mecca of shoes to make anything look awesome!

What do you think of my list.. Do share your thoughts!

Stilettos Diary for Nautica

Hola people! Wondering why the over excitement about today's blogpost? Well the answer is a no-brainer! Today's blogpost is an overdose of stripes. My eyes have never been cherished with so beautiful visuals of stripes. When Nautica asked me to review their Women's summer collection as well as their Indiranagar store, the only reason I agreed is because I get to spend time surrounded by stripes! (Ha ha... I know! I was in my wonderland). Personally, I loved the ambiance of the store especially the funky art pieces which add a nautical touch.

The whole theme of the Women’s collection is all about breezy, easy-to-wear pieces that are versatile enough to take one from day to night. To me, the highlight of the collection was the crisp colour palette of navy, bay green and bold pops of lime green. My favorite are the striped a-line maxi and light weight sweater with gold zip details (Styled in the outfit post). Both are part of the Windswept collection which features the classic nautical color palette of navy, sail white and rose coral. As far as the collection, the vibrant stripes are perfect for the summer and gets a thumbs up from Stilettos Diary team.

Don't forget to check out Nautica store at Indiranagar. If you are extremely lazy like me, then stop by Nautica website (Click here)
