#TheOfficeSeries - The One with Faux Leather

Hello Everyone!

December has always been bitter sweet to me. Christmas and New Year eve is one of my favourite time of the year. I love walking into cafes, finding solace in the gorgeous Christmas decor with a cup of hot chocolate to beat the Bangalore cold. I remember as a kid, helping out my neighbours doing menial cooking tasks for Christmas cake and finally on the Christmas day, gorging the amazing plum and cheese cakes.

December in Bangalore gets cold thanks to the looming sky and cold wind. One of my key staples in my work wardrobe during cold seasons is faux leather skirt. Most people shy away from faux leather to work because of the edgy vibe but I am sharing few key things I usually remember when I am styling faux leather to break the biker look into professionalism.

1. Always style faux leather with straight forward and flowing silhouettes.

2. Choose leather skirts in neutral colors of black, white or tan.

3. Choose midi-leather skirts which fit you well.

4. I usually size up with faux leather skirts and it makes it comfortable to wear throughout the day. Unlike leather skirt, faux leather skirts do not expand.

Today's look I am combining the combination of texture and print to pull myself out from the usual sartorial rut. I styled my tan faux leather skirt with polka shirt. I usually stick to single colour palette while styling faux leather. I finished the look with complimentary accessories.
