#TheOfficeSeries - Wearing colors to work

Hello Everyone!

Spring is officially here and before we get the full blast of summer heat, I decided to wear a couple of roomy blazer outfits to work. Few of the key trends this summer are puff sleeves, roomy blazers and suits. I do not know how practical it is, keeping in mind the temperatures will be soaring to 34-35 degrees.

Personally, I am a huge fan of puff sleeves tops, but I do not prefer puffed blazers. Last year all the trends were ode to the 80's and padded blazers were a huge trend in 2019's. 2020's is about the 90's fashion. I decided to combine padded and roomy blazer trend and therefore opted for this Zara blazer which has padded shoulders and a masculine fit. I finished my look with crop top, mustard trousers and headband. After a few hours, I decided to ditch the head band.I am not a huge fan of pony tails and headbands as I start feeling uncomfortable and let my hair fall free.

#TheOfficeSeries - The one with Satin Slip Midi Skirt

Hello Everyone!

Wish you and your family a very Happy New Year! Can you believe we are officially the kids of the last decade? As the saying goes, time and tide wait for no man. Here's to hoping this decade will be something each of us will cherish.

This was not the post I was planning as my new year blogpost, nevertheless, I got super excited to post this after the photos. The thing I learned about the fashion industry, don't throw out any of your favourites or staple pieces. They tend to come back in style after a few years. Slip dress/ midi skirt were a rage in the 60's and 90's. This light, body hugging and easy to wear trend is definitely worth a try.

When it comes to styling, slip dress and skirt are very versatile. Don't let the fragility of the style fool you as they can be perfect for business causals and can be worn by women of all ages. You can style the skirt during winter with chunky sweater and thigh high boots, or go tonal wearing same color top. If you want a causal approach, then style it with a tee and sneakers.

For anyone with an hour glass figure like me, it definitely accentuates your curves. For the office, I have styled my peach polka dot satin slip midi skirt with velvet crop top and fitted blazer. I have used a statement belt to accentuate my waist and finished the look with nude heels and a statement necklace.
